The Membership section of The Editor’s Blog is now available.
I’m excited to invite you in, excited to see what we can do together this next year and beyond as we hone our skills as writers and editors.
I hope you’ll make yourself at home in the member section. If you have questions, feel free to ask them here.
The breakdown
Nothing will change with the public areas of The Editor’s Blog. I’ll continue to post articles on craft and the mechanics of writing.
There is a yearly membership fee for access to the Membership areas.
What you’ll have access to as a member (content subject to change)—
Forums
Writing exercises
Writing prompts
Do-it-yourself lessons
Select books (PDF) at no charge
Fiction Talk (in real time—monthly)
Mini-classes/lessons (quarterly)
Resource collections
Resources will be added throughout the year(s). I hope to see the Membership area of The Editor’s Blog become an invaluable resource center for writers and editors.

I’m attempting to sign up for a founding membership and am being denied. I don’t know what I did wrong.
Can you tell me what you’ve done, Patricia?
I had a hassle trying to sign up and pay with a VISA credit card. Used PayPal and it worked.
I’m sorry you had trouble trying to use VISA, Mary. It should work with PayPal, credit cards, and bank accounts.
I have to run out for a while, but when I get back, I’ll check in, see if I can help anyone join.
I’m in, as promised…and so happy to be a founding member. I used PayPal with one minor hitch. It attempted to charge me $35 X 2 for a total of $70, but this was easily corrected.
Deborah, I’m glad to have you as a founding member. I might have to include a reminder about checking quantity and price before authorizing payment. I think it’s easy to order two memberships. I might be able to limit quantity to one.
Have no clue on how to download free PDF for Magic of fiction.
Help please. I was born in the 14th century so some things are difficult.
Michael, I added the PDF manually to your account. Log in, go to My Accounts, and go to My Downloads. Let me know if you have trouble getting it.
