The Editor’s Blog has a full page of writing prompts to get you writing when you’re stuck and the words simply won’t begin. I’ll be adding more prompts over time, but there are plenty to help you get started.
Don’t sit around staring at a blank computer screen—prime the writing pump.
Choose a prompt that speaks to a particular writing element, such as dialogue or description, or use one of the prompts to write anything. Often the physical act of writing breaks loose those blocks that hold you back, that prevent you from getting words on the page.

This is very helpful article for me to writing prompts because I’ve always loved writing. My favorite thing to do is write, whether I’m facing a blank page or a blank screen.
